2. What is a rebate?

A rebate is an amount paid by way of reduction, return, or refund on what has already been paid or contributed.

3. Are rebates legal in Florida and Georgia regarding real estate?

Yes, real estate law in Florida and Georgia says that a broker can give a broker incentive to any buyer as long as the proper disclosures are used. Although Section 475.25(1)(h), Florida Statutes, generally provides that a licensee may not share real estate compensation with an unlicensed person, Rule 61J2-10.028(h), Florida Administrative Code, creates an exception: “The sharing of brokerage compensation by a licensee with a party to the real estate transaction with full disclosure to all interested parties is not considered a violation of Chapter 475, Part I, Florida Statutes.” Please note that “all interested parties” should conservatively include any person or entity involved in the deal.

4. How can I get a rebate with New Home Rebate Realty?

Once you have made up your mind that you want to buy a new home construction or build a new home from a builder, contact us FIRST, so we can e-mail you a new home rebate certificate. You will present this certificate as soon as you meet the Builder’s site agent. This is important so they will know that you are and will be represented by New Home Rebate Realty. They will register us as your real estate agent. Now you have decided on what home you want to buy. When you are doing the agreement with the builder, make sure you see in the agreement, New Home Rebate Realty as your real estate agent. Now, our agreement becomes official.

5. What can I use the rebate on?

You can use your new home rebate on closing costs, home furnishing, home improvements, mortgage, shopping,etc! It’s your money remember:)!
